nResponsibilities
nnnProvides assistance in a wide variety of Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) disciplines to facilitate implementation of ES&H programa and ES&H Management System to include aiding compliance with ES&H standards, applicable regulatory requirements, and contractual commitments
n
nnAssists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of programs, systems, and procedures necessary for the safety and health of employees and protection of the environment and communities
n
nnMaintains ES&H databases, inclusive of incident events, audit/assessment findings, and corrective actions
n
nnPerforms statistical analysis of ES&H data to help identify performance trends and contributing factors as part of continuous improvement
n
nnIdentifies and supports any unique software systems and electronic innovation used by ES&H personnel
n
nnLeads teams in conducting risk assessment, studies, mitigation planning, and monitoring in response to ES&H issues
n
nnPrepares communications, writes reports, and prepares documents for program execution and records retention
n
nnAssists with incident notifications, leads investigations, and prepares incident investigation reports
n
nnRecommends and implements improvements in processes, procedures, and work activities to minimize hazard potential
n
nnParticipates in and may lead employee training, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance programs
n
nnResearches moderately complex issues and provides regulatory interpretation and technical advice
n
nnProvides support to ES&H field and office personnel, inclusive of all ES&H disciplines
n
n nRequirements
nnnRequires a Bachelors (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
n
nnTechnical knowledge of computer-based training development software
n
nnTechnical knowledge of Adobe Suite desktop publishing software, SharePoint web developer, FrontPage programming code, and Flash incorporation into training products
n
nnGood knowledge of computer artwork and web design packages
n
nnKnowledge of learning and development systems, applications of both ES&H and automation methods, and application of computers to associated process improvement tasks
n
nnKnowledge of industry and regulatory standards and criteria pertinent to ES&H learning and development needs
n
nnDemonstrated skill in oral and written communication and in preparing clear and comprehensive correspondence
n
nnGeneral knowledge of writing and producing training, marketing, and communication tools
n
nnHas working familiarity with environmental, sa and health processes and procedures
n
