Job description
ESOL Instructor
The BCS Education Center is seeking a part-time ESOL Instructor to teach an English course integrated with job training in hospitality for the restaurant and hotel industries. Classes meet Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, for a total of 10 contact hours per week. The instructor will also dedicate 5 hours per week to lesson preparation and 1 hour per week to staff meetings. The instructor will focus on helping adult learners achieve measurable skills-gain, testing, and retention targets while fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Retention targets
Responsible for:
Design and facilitate ESOL classes for students in an integrated ESOL and job training course
Curriculum design and lesson planning
Maintain attendance records
Attend weekly staff meetings
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree
Certificate or higher in TESOL
Knowledge of TESOL methods and techniques; experience working with multicultural adult learners
At least one year of teaching experience, preferably in a community setting
Language skills in Spanish, Arabic, and/or Chinese are preferred
Availability to teach Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings
