Job description
We are partnering with a global engineering business with a strong reputation across semiconductor, advanced technology and mission-critical construction. As the company continues to expand its data center portfolio, they are looking to appoint an Estimating Manager to support major hyperscale and mission-critical projects from early pursuit through preconstruction and award.
Key Responsibilities
Lead estimating activities for large-scale data center and mission-critical projects
Develop conceptual, schematic and detailed estimates from early-stage design through GMP and final pricing
Manage quantity take-offs, subcontractor pricing, bid leveling and scope reviews
Partner with operations, procurement and design teams to identify cost, schedule and constructability risks
Support RFPs, pursuits, bid strategy and client presentations
Develop benchmarking, historical cost data and estimating standards
Review subcontractor proposals and negotiate pricing, scope and commercial terms
Provide senior leadership with accurate cost forecasts and commercial insight
Mentor and develop estimators within the team
Candidate Profile
8+ years of estimating or preconstruction experience within commercial construction, EPC or mission critical
Strong data center, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing or high-tech project experience
Proven experience estimating large, technically complex projects
Strong knowledge of MEP, electrical and mission-critical systems
Experience managing subcontractor bids, cost models and procurement strategy
Comfortable presenting to senior leadership and clients
Strong commercial judgement and attention to detail
