Job description
Our Client, a specialty contractor in barriers and markings is seeking to add an Estimator to their team in Genesee, WI. This individual plays a crucial role in ensuring projects are financially viable, accurately planned and positioned for successful execution. This role is responsible for evaluating costs, materials, labor and resource requirements for Traffic Control projects. The Estimator supports informed decision-making and helps ensure projects are delivered within budget while meeting company objectives and customer expectations. This is a full-time ONSITE role that pays a $135K salary, a guaranteed bonus of $13K+, a full relocation package (if needed), very limited travel (always local, always home at night). This role also offers strong benefit package – Health, Dental and Vision covered at 80% - and a 401K plan that sees a 20% reinvestment in the employee.
The key to this role is proven estimating experience. The estimator will assist with commercial estimating from preparation of estimates start to finish for Traffic Pavement Marking and Traffic Control. The incumbent will:

Prepare accurate, thorough and competitive estimates for Traffic Control projects.
Analyze material, labor, equipment and time requirements to develop comprehensive bids.
Manage multiple estimates while meeting established deadlines.
Identify potential risks, discrepancies, and cost-savings opportunities.
Maintain detailed and organized records of estimates, proposals and supporting documentation.
Ability to identify, prioritize and balance tasks and activities to ensure estimates are completed and delivered on time.
Organize and clearly communicate information between clients and field teammates.
Resolve issues in a constructive, professional and collaborative manner.
Qualifications:
2+ years experience estimating construction projects
2+ years experience in trades/construction projects pertaining to reading plans, material, labor, equipment, time requirements and contracts. xavwley
Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite of tools to include Excel, Word, Outlook
Experience with any ERP Tool
Experience with any Estimating software
Preferred but not required
Any experience in the pavement marking/traffic control industry.
Bachelors Degree
Any AI usage or expertise (Claude)
Commercial Drivers License - CDL
Software experience with B2W/Trimble
Software experience Vista by Viewpoint
Any experience with BlueBeam or HeavyBid software
