Cobra Concrete Cutting Services Co., the Midwest's leading concrete sawing and drilling contractor, is seeking a motivated Estimator / Project Manager for our Wheeling, IL location. This is a full-time, in-office position responsible for handling inbound estimate requests , supporting our outside sales team , and working closely with management and ownership . This role also provides estimating support to our other Cobra locations across Milwaukee/Madison, Central Illinois, Southern Illinois, and Northwest Indiana . Projects are also bid and performed all over the United States.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong blueprint reading skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and online take-off software
Experience or interest in areas such as concrete flatwork, demolition, or GPR a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Familiarity with public bids, DOT and non-DOT, State, Municipal and SAM.gov system.
Self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced environment
Ability and desire to grow within the company
Requirements:
Previous construction, estimating, or project management experience preferred
Pass a required pre-employment drug screen & random
Pass a pre-employment background record & periodical checks
Must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving history
Required to adhere to all safety rules and regulations
