nUnity House of Troy, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Victim Advocate to support survivors of domestic and sexual violence in our residential shelter. Ideal candidates are empathetic, dependable, and comfortable working second shift.
n$1250 sign on bonus may apply
nShifts Available:
nnn2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
n
nn5:00 PM – 1:00 AM
n
n n(Overtime opportunities available)
nResponsibilities:
nnnProvide trauma-informed, victim-centered support and case management
n
nnAssist clients with housing searches, safety planning, and life skills development
n
nnAnswer hotlines and provide crisis intervention and referrals
n
nnPromote a culture of inclusion and respect
n
n nQualifications:
nnn1+ year of experience working with domestic violence survivors or a similar population
n
nnValid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation
n
nnAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
n
nnSpanish-speaking a plus
n
