About Beyond 8
Beyond 8 is a multi-faceted experiential agency producing intentional, culture-driven events across the music, lifestyle, tech, art, and fashion sectors. With offices in New York and Los Angeles, we partner closely with brands, artists, and organizations to bring meaningful experiences to life—experiences rooted in care, creativity, and executional excellence.
Our work is defined not only by what we produce, but by how we produce it. We believe the most impactful experiences are built through trust, collaboration, and a deep respect for community.
Past and present partners include: Live Nation Urban, Google, HBO Max, De Beers, CultureCon, Solange Knowles, Gucci, SheaMoisture, Motown, Saint Heron, and more.
Our Mission
To create lasting, intentional experiences that push creative boundaries while fostering opportunity, connection, and community.
About the Role
Beyond 8 is seeking a full-time Event Production Director to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale experiential events nationwide. This is a senior leadership role for a seasoned production professional who brings clarity, confidence, and care to complex projects, teams, clients, and partners.
The Event Production Director is both strategic and hands‑on—setting the tone for projects, guiding internal teams, managing external partners, and ensuring every experience reflects Beyond 8’s high standards of excellence and intention.
This role will work closely with Brittney Escovedo, CEO & Founder of Beyond 8, and will serve as a key production partner to the leadership team. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating with a high degree of trust, ownership, discretion, and autonomy while maintaining strong communication and alignment with company leadership.
This role is hybrid/remote , with New York-based candidates preferred. The position requires regular time in the NY market for key clients, events, and leadership collaboration, as well as the ability to travel nationally based on event schedules. In‑office collaboration is expected 1–2 days per week when working from New York.
How We Work at Beyond 8
We lead with intention, accountability, and respect. Our environment is collaborative, fast‑moving, and deeply people‑centered. We value proactive communication, thoughtful problem‑solving, and leaders who take ownership of their work while supporting the growth of others.
This role is best suited for someone who is:
Calm under pressure
Highly organized and detail‑driven
Decisive yet collaborative
Emotionally intelligent and people‑first
Comfortable working closely with executive leadership
Able to confidently lead both teams and clients
Proactive, resourceful, and solutions‑oriented
We hold ourselves and one another to a high standard, without ego.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary production lead and point of contact for planning and executing complex, large‑scale events
Work closely with the CEO & Founder to translate creative vision, client expectations, and business objectives into executable production plans
Partner cross‑functionally with creative, strategy, and production teams to align vision, resources, timelines, and execution
Oversee all event logistics, timelines, production workflows, and operational details from concept through strike
Lead client relationships with confidence, discretion, and professionalism
Communicate clearly and consistently across internal teams, vendors, clients, and stakeholders
Manage and oversee vendors including fabrication, A/V, lighting, security, permitting, rentals, catering, transportation, and more
Develop, track, and manage event production budgets ranging from $250K to $5M+
Lead production teams and establish clear expectations, roles, workflows, and accountability
Manage production schedules, run of shows, staffing plans, load‑in/load‑out, rehearsals, show calls, and event‑day operations
Knowledge of stage management and show‑calling oversight, ensuring talent, programming, production, and technical teams are aligned throughout live events
Coordinate closely with show callers, stage managers, technical directors, talent teams, and other live‑event stakeholders as needed
Ensure all events are executed on‑site with precision, professionalism, and care
Act as senior on‑site leadership, making real‑time decisions and solving production challenges under pressure
Set priorities, manage competing deadlines, and maintain visibility across multiple projects and markets
Conduct post‑event reconciliation, debriefs, and production wrap‑up to ensure projects are fully closed out
Who You Are
You are an experienced event production leader who thrives in dynamic environments and takes pride in delivering thoughtful, well‑executed work. You are highly knowledgeable, deeply committed, and bring a strong sense of ownership to everything you do.
You are comfortable operating at both the 30,000‑foot level and in the weeds. You can confidently lead a production meeting, review a budget, negotiate with a vendor, walk a site, troubleshoot a load‑in, and step into the pressure of show day when needed.
You understand that great production is about more than logistics. It requires strong relationships, clear communication, sound judgment, and the ability to keep people calm and focused when things inevitably change.
You value collaboration, lead with empathy, and communicate with clarity. You are as comfortable managing high‑level client and executive conversations as you are navigating the details behind the scenes—including difficult conversations when necessary.
You care about people, process, outcomes—and it shows.
Qualifications
8+ years of professional experience in event production
Proven experience managing multiple large‑scale events across different markets
Extensive experience overseeing event setup, execution, live show operations, and strike
Strong understanding of stage management, show calling, run‑of‑show execution, rehearsals, and live event operations
Experience working directly with stage managers, show callers, technical directors, talent teams, and other show‑day stakeholders
Deep knowledge of current production practices, equipment, vendors, and rental costs
Strong experience with budget forecasting, management, reconciliation, and financial closeout
Expertise in A/V workflows for in‑person and hybrid/virtual events
Understanding of the design‑to‑fabrication process and ability to problem‑solve build challenges
Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and motivating production teams
Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal
Exceptional organizational and time‑management abilities
Strong client service mindset with the ability to navigate high‑pressure situations diplomatically
Experience working with high‑profile clients and executive stakeholders with discretion and professionalism
Ability to work closely with company leadership and operate with a high degree of trust, autonomy, and accountability
Willingness and ability to travel nationally based on event schedules
Benefits
Flexible PTO
Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage options
Final Note
This role requires commitment, adaptability, leadership presence, and a genuine love of production.
