nPOSITION SUMMARY: Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, is looking for an energetic and friendly individual to fill a part-time Event Security role at the Pensacola Saenger Theatre. Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the primary focus of this individual is to ensure the safety of guests and secure restricted areas. This is a part-time, event-based, hourly position and assigned shifts may include days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

nnnAccurately check all staff/guests’ bags as they enter the theatre, using x-ray viewing equipment, to determine whether items contain objects that warrant further investigation, and set bags aside for searching or re-screening as indicated by equipment.

nnOperate a walkthrough magnetometer to screen guests, employees and contractors entering the theatre.

n

nnEnsure guests feel welcomed by greeting guests to the theatre in a friendly, professional manner.

n

nnVerifies credentials to ensure control of access into restricted areas.

n

nnClean and disinfect high touch point surfaces with a cleaning cloth multiple times per shift, like x-ray equipment, ticket kiosks, handrails, and search tables.

n

nnAssist guests in ticket scanning kiosks when needed.

n

nnResponds immediately and professionally to guest disturbances/incidents.

n

nnSecures the perimeter of ticketed areas.

n

nnArrives for shift on time, neatly groomed and in a clean, pressed well maintained uniform.

n

nnAccurately and thoroughly complete incident reports when needed.

n

nnEffectively diffuse potentially volatile situations.

n

nnWorks cooperatively with other departments and vendors within the arena.

n

nnInteracts with guests in a polite and professional manner.

n

nnAnswers guests' questions in a knowledgeable, helpful, and professional manner.

n

nnConsistently and continually enforces facility policies and procedures relative to prohibited items, disruptive guests, etc.

n

nnMonitor the crowd during all events.

n

nnProvide assistance to guests during emergency situations such as sheltering in place and evacuations of the building.

n

nnPerforms other duties as required to the satisfaction of supervisors and management.

nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.

nnAble to navigate a variety of floor surfaces and areas, including walking up and down stairs.

n nEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

nnnPrevious customer service experience preferred.

n

nnPrevious experience in guest relations or security; ideally in a theatre or event setting preferred.
