Job description
EVS/Maintenance Worker I Village BasedPerform cleaning and maintenance in assigned clinic to maintain the facility in an aseptic condition as required. This position is key to enhancing patient care and employee health, accordingly all duties should be conducted in accordance with infection control policies and procedures for best practices.Provide skilled maintenance and complex repair work on the clinic building itself as well as mechanical system, campus grounds and limited medical equipment.Uphold the organization's vision, mission, and corporate values. Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with organization's policies, procedures, code of conduct and work rules.Essential Functions:Inspect, calibrate, adjust, clean and lubricate mechanical and electrical controls, valves, gauges, meters etc. and report equipment and structural problems to immediate supervisorTest equipment using safety analyzer, volt meters, ohm meters, amp meters and special hand toolsProvide installation and repair services on major systems and limited medical equipment throughout the facility and campus grounds as indicated by appropriate logs and work orders, reporting any major maintenance concerns or damage to immediate supervisorClean and disinfect surface areas according to established cleaning procedures to include, but not limited to, waxing, stripping, shampooing, vacuuming, sweeping, damp wiping, etc.Empty trash, sorting and disposing of contaminated and non-contaminated trash according to established procedures and Infection Control guidelinesCheck equipment prior to the start of each day for any malfunctions, notifying supervisor if any, and clean equipment dailyCheck fuel tank levels, boiler operation and water systems, reporting any problems that need to be resolvedRemove snow and ice from entrances to provide access to the clinicPerform other duties as assignedPersonal Traits:All Norton Sound Health Corporation employees are expected to consistently demonstrate the organization's values: integrity, cultural sensitivity and respect for traditional values, continual learning and improving, compassion, teamwork and pride.
