Executive Assistant To The PrincipalMaranatha Christian Academy (MCA) is a private school serving Grades Pre-kindergarten through 12 in Brooklyn Park, MN. We are an influential school of collaborators, innovators, and explorers grounded in Christian faith, empowering co-creators of tomorrow. MCA has an immediate opening for a year-round Executive Assistant to the Principal for grades 1-6.The Executive Assistant to the Lower School Principal ensures smooth, day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment by:Independently and collaboratively managing administrative tasks to support both the principal and the Lower School teamFacilitating clear, timely communication among staff, parents, and stakeholdersAnticipating needs and resolving issues proactivelyUpholding the highest standards of discretion, integrity, and professionalism at all timesThis role combines strong organizational skills with proactive problem-solving to keep the lower school running seamlessly.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Must work well with young children and pre-adolescentsOversee daily lower school operations, including staff coverage, facilities scheduling, and responding to general inquiries and questionsExercise good judgment on staff and student matters using discretion and confidentialityManage incoming email, phone calls, mail, and other correspondence: route, attach files, and prepare items for the principal's responseCoordinate the principal's calendar, appointments, and visitor check-insHandle purchasing, budget allocations, invoices, and liaison with the business office for funds and reimbursementsIn conjunction with the Sub Coordinator, arrange substitute coverage for breaks or staff absences, which may include after-hours requests for staff with last-minute absences due to illness or emergenciesOrganize events and meetings—field trips, Parent/Teacher Conferences, chapel, picture day—with scheduling, agendas, facilities, and minute-takingCoordinate student placements: interviews, kindergarten assessments, and student-teacher partnershipsMaintain record-keeping systems: files, grade books, calendars, and weekly announcementsDistribute communications and materials: mailings, birthday/prayer cards, curriculum, and assessment resourcesSupport Summer & X-tended Day supply ordering, and field trip /bus schedulingOther duties may be assignedSupervisory Responsibilities:Provide student supervision as needed to ensure a safe, orderly environmentSupport behavior management by implementing positive rewards, addressing complaints, and resolving issues during supervisory dutiesQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to meet the job requirements.
