Job Summary:
This role is responsible for providing leadership and oversight forthe College’s enterprise application environment, ensuringtechnology solutions effectively support academic, administrative,and student success objectives. As a member of the InformationTechnology (IT) division’s senior leadership team, the positioncontributes to strategic technology planning, governance, andoperational excellence while advancing initiatives that improveinstitutional effectiveness and service delivery.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Performance Requirements
Assists leadership in the planning, implementation, monitoring,and evaluation of college Information Technology resources andfunctions
Develops and executes the institutional strategy for enterpriseapplications
Serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership regardingenterprise technology opportunities and risks; collaborates withstakeholders across the institution to align technology investmentswith institutional priorities
Supervises the full lifecycle of enterprise applications,including selection, implementation, maintenance, upgrades, andretirement
Leads strategic and operational planning, aligning IT prioritiesand actions in support of college-wide goals
Oversees and provides guidance on numerous IT cross-departmentalinitiatives to ensure collaboration, financial planning, andproject delivery
Supports the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing assessmentof technology strategies, initiatives, and industry bestpractices
Consults with external technology experts to identify emerging ITtrends and opportunities
Assists in the formulation, recommendation, and enforcementofpolicies relevant to technology at the college
Ensures resources are justified and best aligned with servicesthat advance the college’s goals
General Supervision and Management
Provides leadership and oversight for departmental activities,including workforce planning, performance management, processimprovement, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Focuses on achieving departmental and organizational objectivesthrough effective management of people, programs, andoperations.
Leads through supervisors and professional staff by establishingpriorities, supporting accountability, and developing teamperformance.
Service Excellence
Participates on behalf of the College in external communityorganizations and associations as assigned to support the essentialperformance requirements
Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, andfollows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of theworksite
Completes all required training and professional developmentsessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of theCollege
Supervision
Works under the supervision of the assigned department leader

Required Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Eight (8) years’ working experience related to the EssentialPerformance Requirements
Five (5) years of experience supervising direct reports,including assigning work, managing performance, coaching employees,and supporting employee development
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science,Business Administration, or closely related discipline
At least one (1) year’s professional working experience within alarge institution setting
At least one (1) year’s professional working experience withEllucian ERP products (i.e., Colleague, Banner)
At least one (1) year’s professional working experience in ahigher education environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of principles and practices of project planning,development, and evaluation
Skilled in delivering high-quality customer service and buildingeffective interpersonal relationships, including strong listening,verbal, and written communication skills
Skilled in using computer applications and enterprise systems,including the Microsoft Office suite and the Microsoft 365platform
Skilled in cultivating productive relationships with internalteams, external partners, and organizational leadership, leveraginginfluence and negotiation to achieve aligned expectations,commitments, and understanding of expected risks
Ability to understand existing systems, emerging technologies,and best practices in applying procedures, tools, and methods
Ability to apply principles and practices to strategically aligntasks and people with college goals and objectives
Ability to apply the principles and practices of ITIL v3-v4standards to ensure best practices for IT Service Management
Ability to plan, manage, and prioritize concurrent tasks,assignments, projects, and deadlines seamlessly while ensuringaccurate and timely completion and exhibiting strong attention todetail and organization
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of ateam in collaborative environments, engaging with faculty, staff,and external stakeholders
Ability to maintain a high level of diplomacy and tact, ensuringconfidentiality and discretion with sensitive and confidentialinformation

While performing the duties ofthis job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanicalparts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. Thenoise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
