Job description
Under the direction of the Board of Library Trustees, the Executive Director serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Carroll County Public Library (CCPL), providing visionary leadership to advance the Library's mission, strategic priorities, and long-term sustainability.
The Executive Director leads a nationally recognized public library system committed toinnovation, lifelong learning, exceptional customer service, and responsible stewardship of publicresources. Reporting directly to the seven-member Board of Library Trustees, the ExecutiveDirector establishes organizational priorities, develops and implements strategic initiatives, andensures the effective management of library operations, finances, facilities, technology, andpersonnel.
Salary
$145,000.00 to $170,000.00 annually

MD State Law Requirements: An applicant shall have:
A master’s degree from a library school accredited by the American Library Association.
5 years of experience as a professional librarian with at least 2 years of experience in an administrative orsupervisory capacity.
The Board of Trustees expects the new Executive Director to relocate to Carroll County and become an active andengaged community resident.
