As an EFDA, you will work closely with our dentists and other team members to provide exceptional dental care to our patients.Cedar Creek Dental: 9830 Auburn Rd 103 Ste 103, Fort Wayne, IN 46825Schedule:Monday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMTuesday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMThursday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PMFriday 7:00 AM - 2:00 PMJob RequirementsEFDA Certification in the state of IndianaAssisting the dentist during a variety of treatment proceduresTaking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays)Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulseServing as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipmentHelping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatmentProviding patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling)Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)Taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth)Communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics and oral surgeryCompletes approved procedures validated through the Dental Board such as placement of amalgam, composite restorations, stainless steel crowns, space maintainers, etc.Follow properly issued instructions/directions regarding patient flow and manage the flow of patients to schedule/maximize the doctor's time if applicableBright Direction Dental is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the health and well-being of our employees.
