Skilled CarpenterSchedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour (depending on experience) Travel: Paid travel to Sanibel; Sanibel Island toll coveredJob Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Carpenter with extensive experience in all facets of construction, including framing and trim carpentry. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows direction well, and consistently delivers high-quality results while maintaining safety and organization on the job site.Responsibilities:Perform framing, trim, and general carpentry work in residential and remodeling projectsMeasure, cut, smooth, and install lumber and other materials accuratelyBuild scaffolding and other temporary construction structures as neededOperate electrical and manual tools safely and efficientlyRead and follow instructions, plans, and job specificationsWork independently and collaboratively across multiple scopes of workMaintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all timesRequirements:Fluent English communication skills requiredMinimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in framing and trim carpentrySolid knowledge of general construction and remodeling practicesStrong understanding of carpentry techniques, materials, and wood propertiesProficient in using measurement tools and electrical/manual equipmentGood basic math and problem-solving skillsAbility to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks including reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and crawlingComfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated surfacesValid driver's license and reliable transportation (pickup truck preferred)Proper work clothing and work boots required on siteNo smoking or vaping permitted on the job siteTools Required: Must provide own tools, including but not limited to:Work belt and hand toolsChop saw, table saw, and skill sawSawzall, impact driverFraming square, cat's paw, flat barNail guns and air compressorIdeal Candidate:Takes pride in craftsmanship and attention to detailMaintains a positive attitude and strong work ethicWilling to do what it takes to complete projects efficiently and accuratelyFollows all safety guidelines and company standardsAbout Express Employment Professionals:Express can help you find the type of job that is a perfect fit for your needs and abilities, and you'll never pay a fee for our services and support; we are a Human Resources Solution company assisting business in finding top talent.
