Experienced CNC Machine OperatorThe Gund Company has an immediate opening for a full-time Experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our team!Shift: Second (3:15pm-11:45pm, Monday-Friday)Pay: $26+ based on experience; 15% shift premiumPlant/Work Location: 10501-3 W. 133rd Avenue, Cedar Lake, IN 46303The Gund Company, a leader in engineered material solutions, specializes in customized electrical insulation products. We are currently seeking an Experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our team.The Gund Company: Take Care of Each Other, Take Care of the Customer and Take Care of the BusinessJob Summary Experienced CNC Machine OperatorSetups involve familiarity with and understanding of program formats involving combinations of operations such as profile and contour milling, boring, recessing, turning, drilling, threading, etc., to the capacity of the machine and control factor. Operates numerically controlled machine tools to perform a complex series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications requiring a high degree of skill. May check parts for conformance to specifications and run and set up more than one unit simultaneously.Job Duties Experienced CNC Machine OperatorOperate multiple types of fabrication equipmentSet-up and operate CNC machining centers in multiple cells that include but are not limited to mills, lathes, presses, routers etc.Perform advanced setup operationsPerform work independently with minimal defectsOther duties as assignedRequirements5+ years of combined formal training and experience, or equivalentFamiliarity with CNC machine tool operating proceduresBroad knowledge of machining techniquesOpen to change due to emergency orders or fabrication of partsIntermediate math skills and/or aptitudesAbility to use basic measuring instrumentsPreferredHaas Vertical Mill experiencePrior experience in a manufacturing industryWork EnvironmentThis role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to dust.Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.The position may involve repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.BenefitsPaid Time Off (PTO) and Paid HolidaysComprehensive benefits package (Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability).401(k) plan with a 50% employer match.Profit SharingOngoing training and development programs.Join a company that values your contribution and invests in your future.
