Experienced Dementia Caregiver – Weekday Morning ShiftsMonday–Friday | Morning ShiftsGriswold Home Care | Live AssuredMake a Difference Beyond the Tasks.Griswold Home Care is seeking an experienced, compassionate caregiver to support a client living with advanced dementia in her home. We’re looking for someone who understands that quality care goes beyond completing daily tasks; it means providing reassurance, preserving dignity, and helping families navigate the challenges of dementia with confidence.This position is ideal for a caregiver who has hands-on dementia care experience and knows how to communicate calmly, patiently, and respectfully with clients experiencing cognitive decline.What You'll DoProvide compassionate, person-centered care for a client in the later stages of dementia.Use effective dementia care techniques, including gentle redirection, reassurance, and clear, calm communication.Adapt your approach to meet the client's changing cognitive and personal care needs.Offer guidance and encouragement to the client's husband on communicating with and supporting his wife.Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining a safe, comfortable home environment.Observe and communicate changes in the client's condition, behavior, or care needs to the appropriate office staff.What We're Looking ForPrevious hands-on experience caring for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, preferably in the later stages.Strong understanding of dementia-related behaviors and effective communication techniques.Patience, empathy, dependability, and a calm, reassuring demeanor.Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide supportive guidance to family members.A commitment to preserving client dignity, safety, and quality of life.Ability to meet employment requirements, including applicable background checks.Why Griswold Home Care?At Griswold Home Care, we believe caregiving is about more than providing assistance — it's about helping people live with dignity, comfort, and confidence at home.
