Experienced Drain Technician / PlumberWe are hiring an Experienced Drain Technician / Plumber to run weekend service calls from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with weekday evening on-call availability from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and the possibility of occasional late-night calls.This role offers:High weekend earning potentialGuaranteed weekday on-call payAdditional income through sales commissionsNo required overnight shiftsExperience is required.Compensation:Weekend Pay (Saturday & Sunday, 9 AM – 5 PM)$35 – $45/hr (based on experience)Weekday Evening & Occasional Late-Night On-Call$25/day guaranteed On-Call Pay (paid with or without calls)$42 – $52/hr if dispatchedOccasional late-night calls possible (paid at same hourly rate)Additional Earning Potential:Sales Commissions on approved work performed or soldCommission structure not publicly disclosedExpected Annual Earnings:$70,000 – $130,000+ per year (hourly + on-call + commissions)Responsibilities:Weekend Responsibilities (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)Run residential drain and plumbing service calls independentlyOperate drain cleaning equipment including:Hand snakesPowered snakesRIDGID drain machinesSewer inspection camerasLocator toolsLight hydro-jetting for small/interior linesDiagnose sewer/drain issues using camera and locatorPerform basic plumbing repairs:TrapsToilet resetsGarbage disposalsMinor leak repairsConduct whole-home plumbing inspectionsPresent multiple repair and replacement options using the Mr. Rooter processDocument all work using the company iPadWeekday Evening On-Call (5:00 PM – 9:00 PM)Be available for service calls$25/day guaranteedPaid hourly if dispatchedOccasional late-night calls may occur (paid at the same rate)No scheduled overnight shiftsRequired ExperienceMust Have:2+ years of residential and some commercial drain cleaning experienceAbility to confidently use:• Manual and powered snakes• RIDGID drain machines• Sewer cameras• Locator equipment• Light hydro-jettingAbility to independently complete service calls and sell solutionsStrong communication skills with homeownersValid driver's license and insurable MVRAbility to lift more than 50 lbsAbility to work in basements, crawlspaces, and confined areasPreferred but Not Required:Hydro-jetting larger exterior sewer linesExperience with cast iron, clay, terracotta, and PVC systemsMinor plumbing repair backgroundFlat-rate or franchise service model experienceHow We Measure SuccessQuality workmanshipAccurate diagnosticsCustomer satisfaction and 5-star reviewsProfessional communicationConsistent use of the Mr. Rooter service processRevenue generated through approved work sold (commission eligible)What We ProvideiPad + service softwareUniforms and PPEWeekly paySignificant commission opportunitiesClear advancement pathSupport from a licensed Master PlumberCompensation SummaryWeekend (9 AM – 5 PM): $35–$45/hrWeekday On-Call (5–9 PM): $25/day guaranteedIf dispatched: $42–$52/hrPlus commissionsExpected earnings: $70K–$130K+ per year
