Experienced Pharmacist | Part-Time or PRN
Are you a passionate pharmacist seeking an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients? We're looking for a part-time pharmacist who thrives in a collaborative and customer-centric environment. Peoples Rx is a locally-owned, holistic compounding pharmacy that has served the Austin community for over 40 years. As a pharmacist with Peoples Rx, you will join our dynamic team of technicians and our pharmacists who average well over a decade of celebrating the journey with Peoples Rx. The ideal candidate has the ability to work promptly with precision in a fast-paced, retail environment while serving our customers with compassion and care.
Responsibilities:
Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring patient safety and compliance with legal requirements.
Provide expert pharmaceutical and nutraceutical advice to patients, addressing their questions and concerns.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapies and patient outcomes.
Conduct medication reviews and counseling sessions to promote proper usage and adherence.
Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to deliver exceptional care.
Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative pharmacy services.
Qualifications:
Current pharmacist license in the state of Texas, in good standing.
Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in using pharmacy software and technology, as well as Google Workspace (GMail, Drive, Calendar, Docs & Sheets.)
Prior experience in an independent or community pharmacy setting is preferred.
Preceptor experience preferred.
Familiarity with nutritional supplements.
Flexible schedule, alternating nights and weekends.
Able to lift up to 30lbs.
Able to stand for 8 hours
