Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Press Operator (Press Brake Operator):
* Payrate: $24 /hr
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate manual press brake machines to bend sheet metal and plate per engineering drawings and work orders.
* Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy of formed parts.
* Select appropriate tooling and determine bend sequences to minimize material waste and rework.
* Inspect parts to ensure they meet tolerance and quality standards
* Perform routine maintenance checks on press brake machinery and tooling.
* Work closely with welders, machinists, and assembly technicians to ensure parts integrate seamlessly into finished equipment.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
* 3+ years experience operating manual press brake equipment in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
* Strong understanding of metal types (stainless steel) and their forming characteristics.
* Experience working with stainless steel for sanitary food-grade applications is highly desirable but not required.
* Ability to read and interpret fabrication blueprints and shop drawings.
* Solid knowledge of bend allowances, tolerances, and forming practices.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to stand for extended periods.
* Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
* Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for precision work.
* Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery.
