Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.Site requirements:Minimum 21 years of ageHigh school diploma, GEDValid State of Hawaii driver's license or driver's license recognized in Hawaii;Meets HRS Chapter 463 security guard licensing requirements;+Meets all applicable Judiciary access and background requirements.Complete fingerprint-based background investigationMeets one qualifying experience path: 2 years honorable U.S. Armed Forces service (DD-214 if applicable) or 1 year qualifying full-duty law enforcement experience with separation in good standingLegally eligible to possess, carry, transport, and handle firearm and ammunitionRequired firearm license, permit, written authorization, certification, and qualification are current;Demonstrates sound judgment, maturity, alertness, professional conduct, strong moral character, and ability to make decisions under stressAble to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, in EnglishBasic computer, clerical, recordkeeping, typing, and access-control system skills;+Courteous and able to deal effectively with the public, Judiciary staff, law enforcement, and security personnelAble to complete initial pre-employment ASG medical and physical examinationMinimum Requirements:Be at least 21 years of age for armed rolesPossess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experienceValid State of Hawaii driver's license or driver's license recognized in HawaiiMeets HRS Chapter 463 security guard licensing requirementsLegally eligible to possess, carry, transport, and handle firearm and ammunitionRequired firearm license, permit, written authorization, certification, and qualification are currentDemonstrates sound judgment, maturity, alertness, professional conduct, strong moral character, and ability to make decisions under stressAble to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, in EnglishBasic computer, clerical, recordkeeping, typing, and access-control system skillsCourteous and able to deal effectively with the public, Judiciary staff, law enforcement, and security personnelAble to complete initial pre-employment ASG medical and physical examinationCleared for use of an N95 disposable particulate respiratorPhysically capable of prolonged standing/walking, emergency response, use of screening equipment, CCTV, handcuffs, baton, and firearm, and intervention with violent or disturbed persons.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
