Job TitleResponsibilities for this PositionLocation: USA VA Springfield Full Part/Time: Full time Job Req: RQ Type of Requisition: Regular Clearance Level Must Currently Possess: Secret Clearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: Secret Public Trust/Other Required: None Job Family: Network and Telecommunications Job Qualifications: Skills: Electronic Equipment, Equipment Testing, Telecommunication Systems, Trace Detection, Troubleshooting Certifications: None Experience: 5 + years of related experience US Citizenship Required: YesKey ResponsibilitiesUtilize technical skills to meet contractual product lifecycle requirements for telecommunications, security, and other technology productsPerform preventive maintenance, calibration, and testing of Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) systems to ensure optimal operational readinessRespond promptly to equipment malfunction support requestsSupport field customers with the operational standards, field triage, and maintenance requirements for deployed equipmentDocument trends and failures to provide feedback to manufacturers to improve performance of current and future product platformsUtilize customer's maintenance system to document repairs and services performed on equipmentMaintain accurate maintenance logs and service recordsProvide technical support and basic user training to Department personnel as neededRequired QualificationsActive Secret security clearanceHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electronics preferredMinimum 5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing security screening or similar electronic equipmentStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for electronic/mechanical systemsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks associated with equipment maintenanceU.S. citizenship requiredValid driver's licenseDomestic travel <10%Preferred QualificationsPrior experience supporting U.S. Government or federal contractor security screening operationsManufacturer certification on ETD systemsFamiliarity with TSA or DHS equipment certification standardsExperience participating in equipment testing, evaluation, or R&D programsThe likely salary range for this position is $107,744 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
