Extended Day Secretaries/BookkeepersQualifications:High school diploma, GED, or sufficient education, training, and experience to successfully perform the duties of the position.Some experience (2-3 years) in general secretarial work. Graduation from business school or a similar academic course may be substituted for one year of experience.Some experience and/or training in automated management information systems are required.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Some experience in dealing effectively with the public is highly desirable.Such other qualifications as may be desirable and appropriate.Essential Duties:Regular and punctual attendance requiredPerform various clerical, secretarial, and office support for an administratorCreate letters, forms, and other associated documentsType a variety of routine and complex documents, reports, forms, and correspondenceCreate and maintain files, inventories, and other recordsAssist with various administrative and student-related activities such as registration, calling absentees, preparing reports, contacting parents, checking students in/out, and any other related tasksOperate various types of office equipment such as copiers, faxes, scanners, etc.Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data and information pertaining to individual students and/or the overall programHourly Rate: $20.00 per hourHow To Apply: All applicants should complete the State of Alabama on-line application and attach it to the specific job number in order to be eligible for hire.
