Job description

Exterior Finisher TRThe Exterior Finisher TR is responsible for learning the various tasks that prepare and complete the aircraft for delivery. These include prepping the aircraft for painting, applying primer, and sanding surfaces. After the painting process, the finisher sands, buffs, and polishes the aircraft to achieve a smooth, high-quality finish. Other duties involve applying cosmetic sealants, installing vinyl stripes, handling minor assembly, and performing final detailing to ensure the aircraft meets both quality standards and customer expectations.ResponsibilitiesLevel TR Technicians utilize experience, education, and training to ensure proficiency in one of the primary areas in the Painting area and must master an area before moving into another process area.Surface Preparation: Prep aircraft surfaces for paint by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas to ensure proper adhesion and a smooth finish.Primer Application: Apply primer to aircraft surfaces as part of the preparation process, ensuring even coverage and surface readiness for paint.Post-Paint Finishing: Sand, buff, and polish painted surfaces to achieve a high-quality, smooth finish that meets visual standards.Cosmetic Sealant Application: Apply cosmetic sealants to aircraft surfaces for protection and aesthetic enhancement.Vinyl Stripes Installation: Install vinyl stripes on the aircraft, ensuring precise alignment and a professional appearance.Assembly: Perform basic assembly tasks, such as installing parts and hardware, as required by the engineering drawings.Detailing: Perform final detailing, including cleaning and inspecting aircraft to ensure it meets all quality standards before customer delivery.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDPrevious work experience demonstrating dependability, reliability and a strong work ethicPrevious experience in finishing, painting, or a similar field is highly desirableFamiliarity with aircraft painting processes, primer application, sanding, buffing, and polishing techniques preferredAbility to operate tools and equipment such as sanders, buffers, and spray guns, with precision and careBasic ability to use a computer and computer softwareBasic ability to inspect work for quality, ensuring surfaces are smooth and free of defectsManual dexterity ability to use hands with precision on small items and in small spacesAbility to work in a fast paced team environmentOur Benefits: Cirrus provides a range of exciting benefits, including:Comprehensive Health Coverage: Medical, vision, dental, with additional dependent coverage optionsEmployer-Paid Coverages: Group term life, short- and long-term disability insuranceFlexible Spending Accounts: FSA and HSA offerings with company contributions to HSAWell-being: Calm Health, Employee Assistance Program, and wellness incentives through medical provider401(k) Plan: Dollar-for-dollar match up to 5% after 90 days, with 100% vesting at 1 year of servicePTO: Various PTO plans starting at 100 hours accrued within the first yearAdditional Time off Benefits: Paid holidays, 2 weeks of Paid Parental leave, paid time for funeral leave and jury dutyCareer Development: Tuition reimbursement program and professional growth opportunitiesExclusive Discounts: Cirrus Store, partner and marketplace discounts availableCommunity & Engagement: Company and employee clubs at various locationsThese benefits are designed to support your well-being, growth, and enjoyment at Cirrus!Pay RangeSalary Range: USD $16.55/Hr. - USD $24.82/Hr.Sign On BonusUSD $3,000.00
