Extruder OperatorWe are searching for dependable, mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy hands-on manufacturing work to join the team in Brighton, MI as an Extruder Operator.1st Shift: Monday to Thursday 6pm – 6amStarting Pay Rate: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)Comprehensive Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance, 401k Retirement Savings, Paid Holidays, PTO/Sick Time, Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, etc.Long-Term Opportunity: Work with industry-leading manufacturing equipment and grow with a well-established company serving the commercial trucking industryThe Extruder Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plastic extrusion equipment used to produce sheet material for commercial trucking products. This position plays a key role in monitoring production, making process adjustments, verifying product quality, and maintaining consistent machine performance throughout the shift.Responsibilities:Operate and monitor plastic extrusion equipment in a production environmentStartup extrusion lines, monitor material flow, and make adjustments as neededAdjust machine settings, temperatures, speeds, and process controls to maintain product specificationsPerform quality checks and monitor machine output throughout the production processSet up and adjust cooling systems and related equipmentRead digital machine displays and follow detailed production instructionsUse a forklift to transport raw materials and finished products as neededMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentWork independently while supporting production goals and quality standardsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Previous experience operating plastic extrusion and production machinery preferredMechanical aptitude and ability to learn machine adjustments and troubleshooting techniquesAbility to read machine displays and follow detailed work instructionsForklift experience is a plus but not requiredAbility to lift up to 50lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive physical tasksStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
