Job description
Extrusion Operator - 2nd Shift: 1:30pm-10:00pmCandidates who accept an offer must complete a background check and drug & alcohol test. Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States for any employer.Your Tasks:Operate a co-extrusion process of custom plastic profilesService, repair, and operate extrusion equipmentAssist in initial line setup and change overs following posted scheduleHelp in data reporting for quality control and productionMonitor and optimize the manufacturing process in accordance with quality standardsBlend materials and load hoppers to meet product specifications and order needsPerform a variety of mechanical and physical testing required per product specification and quality assurance using calipers and other measurement processesCarry out inspections and maintenance of production lines and assist with repairsMaintain order and cleanliness in all work areas through 5S and LEAN manufacturing methods (training will be provided)Communicate and cooperate with fellow employees to maintain quality, operational efficiency and safety metricsOperate tow-motor after certification to load and unload raw materialsYour Required Qualifications:Knowledge of precision measurement devices or computerized control systemsMechanical aptitudeMathematical aptitudeBasic experience with Microsoft Word, and ExcelDesire to work in a manufacturing environment focused on Continuous ImprovementStrong work ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentDetail oriented individualEntrepreneurial nature: Self-directed, goal-oriented, customer focusedReliable and punctual individualDedicated team player with a willingness to learn new processesAbility to create solutions to address production and efficiency related issuesYour Opportunities:On the job training in line operation, maintenance, start-up procedure, tool assembly, quality tools and process improvement.We offer you a diverse range of tasks in a dynamic team setting that will help you to identify and gain experience in your area of interest.Learn and grow your core competencies, along with an exposure in different business processes.A true entrepreneurial environment built on individual and team ownership with a self-starter perspective.Supported by a model for flexible work time to create a work-life balance.Contribute and grow in a fast-paced manufacturing company focused on Innovation and Growth.
