Machine Operator - 1st ShiftLocation: Liberty, NC Shift: 1st Shift (7:00am–3:00pm) Pay: Starting at $17.00. Higher starting pay may be available based on manufacturing or extrusion experience.Americhem is hiring a 1st Shift Machine Operator at our Liberty, North Carolina manufacturing facility. In this role, you will operate equipment, monitor production, complete basic machine setups, and help produce high-quality plastic compounds and color concentrates. Americhem is a leading manufacturer of custom color concentrates, engineered compounds, and additive solutions. Eligible for holiday pay upon hire.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor production equipment.Make simple adjustments to help keep production running smoothly.Assist with machine setup and changeovers.Check products to ensure they meet quality standards.Collect samples and complete basic production records.Help identify and resolve basic equipment or production issues.Complete routine cleaning and basic machine care.Use a forklift or tow motors to move materials when needed.Follow all safety and quality procedures.Work with team members to support production and continuous improvement.Qualifications RequiredHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.Ability to work 1st shift in a manufacturing environment.Basic math and measurement skills.Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.Commitment to safety and quality.PreferredManufacturing, production, machine operation, extrusion, plastics, or industrial experience.Forklift or tow motor experience.Mechanical or hands-on experience.Experience working with production equipment.SkillsMachine operationManufacturing productionBasic machine setupQuality checksMaterial handlingBasic troubleshootingForklift operationTeamworkSafety awarenessBenefitsMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsurancePrescription Drug Coverage120 Hours Paid Time Off (PTO)10 Paid HolidaysCompany-Paid Life InsuranceGenerous 401(k) Match with No Vesting PeriodAt Americhem, safety is our highest priority.
