Extrusion OperatorNow Hiring | Temple, TXCompensation: Pay rate starting at $ per hourAvailable Shifts:7:30am-4:00pm3:30pm-12:00am - shift premium $1.00 per hour11:30pm-8:00am - shift premium $1.25 per hourTEXT TO APPLY NUMBER: (928-NOVOLEX)Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The Extrusion Operator consistently and safely operates machines at or above standard levels of operation including waste, quality, efficiency and utilizationTrouble shoot, identify and correct machine related problems through proper adjustments to various parts of the machineProvide innovative solutions for production issuesProvides support and guidance to less experienced personnelCompletes appropriate end of shift paperwork, accounting for crewing time, machine time, and production quantitiesAble to inspect and recognize defective product and make machine adjustments to correct cause of defectsObserves all housekeeping, standard work and safety guidelinesMechanical aptitude, demonstrated problem solving skills and effective communication skills - written and verbal are requiredQualifications:Experience working in a manufacturing environment as a Setup Operator or Extrusion Machine OperatorAbility to show up for work prior to shift and be prepared to get the day going on timeStrong problem solving and troubleshooting experience working with Extrusion MachinesExcellent communication skills, detailed record keeping per the prescribed frequencyAnalytical and math skillsAbility to perform quality checks and have an understanding of production measurement toolsKnowledge of product quality standardsComfortable wearing PPE such as hairnets, beard-nets, steel toed shoes/boots, ear protection and bump-caps when requiredManual dexterityCompany BenefitsWith safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being an important focus, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a variety of other well-being resources focused on mental, physical and financial health.
