Extrusion Blow Molding TechnicianWe're seeking an Extrusion Blow Molding Technician to work at a premier manufacturing client in New York, NY. Sound good? Take a closer look below. You owe it to yourself to consider this great new opportunity.Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $30.00 – $34.00/hourShifts: 2nd or 3rd shift, 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m., plus overtime every other weekend, 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m., plus overtime every other weekend. You'll be:Setting up and starting extrusion blow molding and other molding machines per production schedulesPerforming mold changes, tooling changeovers, and equipment setups safely and efficientlyInstalling, aligning, and removing molds, tooling, and machine componentsAdjusting process parameters for optimal product quality and productivityMonitoring machine performance and making process adjustments as neededConducting first-piece inspections and supporting ongoing product quality verificationTroubleshooting molding, tooling, material, process, and equipment issues to minimize downtimePerforming preventive maintenance on molds, tooling, machines, and associated equipmentCollaborating with production, maintenance, quality, automation, and engineering teamsMentoring or training other employees and supporting continuous improvement initiativesFollowing all safety, quality, GMP, and company policies and proceduresThis job might be an outstanding fit if you:Have a high school diploma or GED (technical training preferred)Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsBring experience setting up, operating, or troubleshooting molding machines in manufacturingHave knowledge of plastics materials and processing techniquesAre comfortable working independently and as part of a teamShow a strong commitment to safety, quality, documentation, and continuous improvementPreferred:Two years of extrusion blow molding process technician experienceExperience with injection blow molding or injection molding (or willingness to learn extrusion)Familiarity with engineering plastics and resins (HDPE, LDPE, PP, PMP, FEP, PFA)Experience with industry-standard equipment (Bekum, Davis-Standard, Kautex, Milacron, Graham, Plastiblow, etc.)Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systemsExperience with automated manufacturing equipment, robotics, or vision inspection systemsBackground in regulated manufacturing environmentsExperience mentoring or training othersPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand and walk for a full shift, bend, reach, and lift up to 40 lbsComfortable working around loud equipment, elevated temperatures, and moving machineryMust adhere to cleanroom requirements (no jewelry, makeup, exposed piercings, etc.)What happens next Once you apply, you'll proceed to next steps if your skills and experience look like a good fit.
