Please apply directly through our Career Site at careers.tariangroup.com, or via Indeed or ZipRecruiter.ResponsibilitiesYou will conduct the following responsibilities upholding Tarian's commitment to safety and security while supporting the values and culture of the client and community:Security Officers are responsible for maintaining security and safety throughout the organization - and serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities.A commitment to taking care of fellow officers, our clients, and their propertyAdhere to all Company service and operating standardsImmediately respond to emergencies & provide necessary assistanceFollow procedures for fire prevention, property patrol, and incident reportingPerform other job-related duties as assignedQualificationsEducation & Experience:Completed High School Diploma or GEDValid and Current New York State Security Guard LicenseF02 Fire Guard (or N32 Certificate of Fitness) from FDNYPrevious security experiencePrevious customer service experienceCPR CertificationStrong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusMust be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs.Valid driver's license and ability to meet Tarian driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles).Employment Verification: For applicable roles, previous employment must be verified through our background vendor. If any employment cannot be confirmed, candidates may be required to provide proof of employment (such as a pay stubs or W-2s).Physical Demands & Work Environment:Work hours will vary depending on assignments, client schedules, project deadlines, and the needs of the company. Workweeks may exceed 40 hours and may involve any of the 7 days of the week, depending on the needs of the business. The work environment may be fast-paced and stressful or may also be quiet and slow-paced. All environments and pace of work will require alertness and ability to perform under pressure.While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk for variable amounts of time throughout an assigned shift; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects 25 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
