Foster Farms Welding/Fabrication And Machining SupportPay Rate: $29.80 per hour. (Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour worked between 12:00am-4:59am)At Foster Farms, our mission is creating great food and serving great moments. We measure our success by how well we protect and care for our team, our consumers, our animals, and our environment, while delivering operational excellence and exceptional value to our customers.Purpose of Position: To provide welding/fabrication and machining support for the company.Essential FunctionsAnalyze and repair welding/fabrication malfunctions.Work from blueprints/schematics to perform maintenance/repair or install equipment.Report (in writing) materials and replacement parts needed for jobs; prepare and maintain maintenance invoices are required.Direct/instruct subordinate employees still in training (e.g., welders/fabricators, classes B and C).Lay out estimate jobs; determine appropriate metal types/thicknesses to be used.Weld mild steel, stainless and aluminum metals.Must have 4 years' experience with using lathe and milling machines.Machining of pins, bushings, shafts, keyways, etc.Additional Functions: Other duties as assigned, to include:General cleaning and/or assisting other crews if required.Maintaining safety, housekeeping, and sanitation and disease control requirements while performing job duties.QualificationsMust have a minimum of 4 years of training on the job and/or formal schooling.Must be able to pass a Welder/Fabricator Level A test.Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision and complete work in a timely and efficient manner.Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.Must be able to lift 50 pounds.Must be able to work from a ladder.Must have and maintain a California driver's license and an acceptable DMV record.Foster Farms ACTION Guiding PrinciplesAccountability: Deliver on commitments.Collaboration: Achieve more by working as a team.Truth-Seeking: Be open-minded and act with humility.Initiative: Be proactive and lead with a growth mindset.Ownership: Take responsibility for results.Nimble: Operate with speed and agility.Why Join Foster Farms?This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the future of the ready-to-eat business at a leading food company, directly supporting our mission, vision, and values.
