Job description
Fabrication SupervisorThe Fabrication Supervisor upholds the safety regulations of our company and supervises production processes to guarantee that all our products meet quality expectations, budget and delivery requirements. This position is responsible for supervising a large, diverse and talented enclosure tanks manufacturing team. The primary goal of this position is to properly organize team members and achieve an efficient and productive workflow throughout the day. This position will also include directing, disciplining, training and assisting lower-level manufacturing employees in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.Essential Functions:Coordinate and supervise daily activities of enclosure tanks employeesAssure monthly goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are metCollaborate with other departments to coordinate workflow, prevent bottlenecks and ensure each stage of the manufacturing process flows smoothly into the nextSet priorities for the team to ensure daily task completionMonitor, track and meet project budgeted labor hoursEnsure employee timecards are correct and labor hours are properly recorded, including reworkInterview candidates, make hiring decisions, supervise and manage employees, conduct performance evaluations, provide employee feedback and handle performance management, including coaching and disciplinary actions, in accordance with company policiesInterpret and execute policies and proceduresMonitor processes to ensure quality standards are metCoach and lead the enclosure tanks teamCommunicate with and assist other departments as neededEnsure proper staging of materials at each workstationEnsure production efficiencies meet or exceed expectationsImplement cost-saving strategies and techniquesEnsure safety, quality and on-time deliveryMaintain a clean and safe environment for all employeesSupport continuous improvementAdminister company policies consistently and fairlyEnsure quality hold points are followed and all products are reviewed and signed off prior to completionPerform other duties assigned by supervisorJob Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent5+ years of supervisory experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, specifically enclosures, assembly or tanksRead, write and speak proficient EnglishAbility to supervise multiple projects and departments simultaneouslyKnowledgeable in assembly and manufacturing processesAbility to provide clear, explicit verbal directionsAbility to plan shop flow and execute goalsAbility to read and interpret blueprintsAbility to analyze and solve issues pertaining to quality, safety and productionExcellent coaching and communication skillsAbility to work within a team environmentProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)Must be able to work night shiftMust be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physicalMust be able to pass a background checkDesirable Experience, Education and Training:Forklift experiencePrevious experience with generator enclosure or tank assemblyHigh School Diploma or equivalentPhysical Requirements:Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, feeling, talking, hearing and seeingTurning, twisting, bending and balancingPushing, pulling and reachingMust be able to lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50-75 poundsTools, Equipment and Technology:Computer and office equipment, assemblies, tanks etc.Environmental Conditions:80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors. An office space within the fabrication yard facility will be provided.
