Job description
Fabricator / PainterYou will be the Fabricator / Painter for the Machining Operations Center (MOC). Our team is responsible for precision machining, component installation, chemical conversion coating, and painting. As the Fabricator / Painter you will be responsible for delivering high-quality coated and finished components that meet stringent aerospace specifications. Your responsibilities will include:Apply finish protective coatings using spray guns or brushes, both air-dry and baked.Operate sandblasting and tumble-blast equipment to remove scale, corrosion, and contaminants.Mix, thin, and apply paints, lacquers, and enamels to meet color and performance standards.Set up and run spray-painting equipment, monitoring viscosity and ensuring consistent coverage.Clean and prepare parts, including electro-plating cleaning and surface inspections.Basic Qualifications:Ability to apply finish protective coatings, spray guns and/or brushes, operates spray painting equipment, optical bonding fabrication, ablative processing equipment, tape-wrapper, autoclaves, bonding, mixes paints, and lacquers.Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 3x12 weekend "D" shift- as required in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.Desired Skills:Technical school training in auto painting, precision masking/cutting operations.5-8 years' experience as fabricator.Pay Information: $23.92 - $40.93At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
