Facilitator28 Crescent St. Middletown, CT | Non-Clinical Support Services | Full Time$18.95 - $27.48 USD per hourPosition HighlightsDepartment: Radiology AdministrationHours: Full-Time/40 hours per weekShift: Shift 1, DaysPosition SummaryThe Radiology Facilitator plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while supporting a wide range of responsibilities involving tasks utilizing electronic, digital and PACS technologies. The Radiology Facilitator will schedule outpatient procedures and appointments using EPIC, and will work closely with Radiology staff, Supervisors, and Physicians to coordinate Interventional Radiology procedures and other speciality modality procedures. Acting as a liaison and ambassador, the Radiology Facilitator will ensure clear and effective communication between Radiologists, referring physicians, and department staff.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesUnder general supervision, the Radiology Facilitator will:Maintains thorough knowledge and grasp of:Schedule STAT outpatient radiology proceduresModality processes and scheduling templatesServes as a customer service representative for internal and external referring provider officesInterventional Radiology workflowSchedule inpatient and outpatient interventional proceduresSchedule anesthesia for specific proceduresWork the IR protocol listServes as point of contact for:MH: Interventional Radiologist and Interventional P.A., both inter- and intra-departmentallyProficient in the operation of all relevant equipment and computer systems.Retain knowledge about multiple procedures and keep track of multiple tasks.Collects and processes patient clinical data to ensure superior patient care as well as department/hospital financial goals are achieved.Accurately collects and documents patient data in computer systems to ensure safe patient care as well as providing necessary information used in the billing of the exam.Provides superior service that exceeds customer expectations so that relations with our patients are maintained and enhanced.Adheres to all Core Values (Compassion, Pursue Excellence, Cooperation and Collaboration, Upholds Honesty, and Supports Innovation).Adheres to all Absolutes (Privacy and Confidentiality, Professional Appearance, and Responsibility and Commitment).Other job related duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience:2 years of scheduling experience in a hospital or medical office facilityMinimum Education:High School Graduate or equivalentPreferred Education and Experience:1 year scheduling experience1 year working in an imaging departmentKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, Communication skills, excellent writing and spelling.Works independently using professional judgmentTyping and computer knowledge.
