Maintenance PainterLocated in a tight-knit community in Kings County, Adventist Health Hanford has been serving the Central Valley since 1965. We are comprised of a 173-bed hospital and many outpatient clinics with primary and specialty care services. Hanford residents are proud of their city's historic charm and family-friendly atmosphere. Within an hour's travel time, Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks can be enjoyed.Assists in the performance of duties necessary to keep the equipment and facilities presentable and in good repair. Performs a variety of routine general and preventative maintenance duties. Performs routine painting jobs on furniture, fixtures and interior and exterior surfaces. Prepares surfaces, removing paint or varnish finishes, fills and repairs walls, floors, ceilings, etc. Maintains required records.Education and Work Experience:High School Education/GED or equivalent: PreferredAssociate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: PreferredRelevant industrial/commercial painting experience: PreferredLicenses/Certifications:Valid Driver's License (DL) and must be at least 21 yrs of age or older: RequiredEssential Functions:Plans and performs a wide variety of routine painting jobs on furniture, fixtures and interior and exterior surfaces. Prepares surfaces, removing paint or varnish finishes, fills and repairs walls, floors, ceilings, etc. Participates as needed in major renovations, new construction, alterations and installations.Maintains a record of service cycles and other maintenance activities conducted. Maintains preventative maintenance records, reports and files as required.Maintains tools and supplies necessary to perform duties.Reports damage, defects and other issues pertaining to equipment.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.Organizational Requirements:Adventist Health is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our associates and patients.
