Coordinate with local and state officials to comply with regulations and maintain required facility licenses/certificates including fire, elevator, and general operating licensure.

Manage facility access procedures.

Respond to facility emergencies, including alarms and fire systems.

Perform daily walkthroughs of the facility to identify potential safety issues.

Priority 3: Financial Management

This role involves strategic and responsible financial stewardship of the facilities budget, requiring the ability to plan, track, and manage resources effectively to support both short-term needs and long-term infrastructure investments.

Create (with the COO), manage, and adhere to the annual facility budget.

Plan for longer-term capital expense and asset lifecycle replacement.

Identify opportunities to reduce or repurpose facilities expenses.

Priority 4: Collaboration & Coordination

This role requires the ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally with departments to problem-solve facilities needs that also consider the needs and priorities of other teams.

Coordinate with the Chief Operating Officer on new building projects, considering scope, budget, organizational mission, and risks.

Coordinate with facility vendors to ensure systems are functioning optimally.

Coordinate with internal teams to ensure the safety, security, and surveillance of installed artwork.

Oversee contract services such as janitorial and garbage.

Attend staff meetings and report on facility-related issues as needed.
