The position is part-time, non-exempt and is located at the Overland Park campus at 8412 W. 95th St. Please see below for a full job description.Job SummaryThe Facilities Tech performs a variety of maintenance functions, both interior and exterior, to support operations and ministries of the church. As a member of the Business Operations Division, partners with staff and locations to assist with facility operational needs.Essential Responsibilities and ExpectationsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Position-SpecificSet up rooms for programing and events.Complete work orders.General maintenance and repair. PaintSheetrockDoorsHardwareCeilingsFloorsSchedule repairs/projects in coordination with ministry needs.Maintain high level of appearance for church buildings and grounds.Notify Security of any security and/or safety issues.Other duties as assigned.CompetenciesAdapting – remains flexible and modifies behaviors quickly to help the church meet the dynamic needs of congregants and employees.Collaborating – shares knowledge, builds partnerships and promotes a culture of thinking from the users' perspective while working across divisions to meet shared goals and objectives.Following Processes – gets work done as effectively and efficiently as possible by following optimal processes.Focusing on Details – pays attention to important details, avoiding errors and fine-tuning the results for maximum impact.Navigating the Organization – maneuvers through organizational hurdles by understanding the church's divisions and departments and their functions.Problem Solving – makes good decisions quickly, solves problems effectively to help move the church forward.Resourcing – secures and deploys resources as effectively and efficiently as possible.QualificationsMinimum 1-2 years of experience working in facilities maintenance with prior experience in building construction trades or in general building construction preferred.Physical requirements: ability to push/lift 75 pounds, climb ladders, bend at waist, kneel, climb, walk, crouch.Proven results in basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs; customer service and organizational skills; detail orientation; initiative.
