Job description

About the role:

nThe successful candidate will have familiarity with Facility ConditionAssessment and Property Condition Assessment services, including capital budgetdevelopment, forecasting, and project management.

nLead and perform FCAs engagements for a variety of clients, including State andFederal agencies, institutional, and corporate companies. Provide a technicalreview of existing facilities for owners, facility managers, lenders, buyers,and investors to provide information required to make an informed decisionconcerning the physical condition of properties and the cost associated withthose conditions. FCAs are prepared for industrial, warehouse, retailfacilities, complexes, institutional, healthcare and high-rise buildings.

nThis position will require frequent day and overnight travel - up to 60% andcan be remote.

nWhat you’ll do:

nnnManage multi-person FCA teams providing direction, support, reviewing andevaluating work progress, identifying and resolving various issues.

n

nnInterfaces with client representative onsite and coordinates the teamschedule and responsibilities.

n

nnParticipate in client and account management to represent CBRE Turner andTownsend at pre-bid meetings, shortlist interviews, and project kick-offmeetings.

n

nnDevelop project plans, schedules, and communicate project goals anddeliverables.

n

nnConduct walk-through surveys (from 1 hour to multiple days) to assesscondition of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low voltage systems. (Thismay require climbing two-story ladders or going up in a lift, lift operatingcertification is a plus).

nnInterview facility managers, property owners, occupants, key site personnel,and local government officials to acquire information concerning the subjectproperty's condition.

n

nnDetail the condition and physical deficiencies of a property by takingrepresentative and detailed photographs of a properties’ site and buildingsystems.

n

nnAct as a subject manager authority in an area of expertise which includeMechanical and Electrical systems.

n

nnPrepare FCA and PCA to include cost estimates to remedy buildingdeficiencies. Cost estimates are typically in the form of a multi-year capitalspending plan.

n nWhat you will need:

nnnTo perform thisjob successfully, an individual to perform each duty satisfactorily. Therequirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/orability required.

nnBachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management equivalentcombination of education and experience.

n

nn5 years commercial building evaluation or commercial design experience with ageneral understanding of all building systems: site work, structural, buildingenvelope, and MEP.

n

nn5 years building evaluation experience with experience writing FacilityCondition Assessment Reports.

n

nnExperience with facility capital planning.

n

nnExperience with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

n

nnAbility to travel up to 60% of the time.

n

n nTurner & Townsend carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is annually and the maximum salary for this position is annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on Turner & Townsend’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
