Factory CustodianSpringfield Plastics, Inc. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Factory Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in our Auburn, IL manufacturing facility. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a safe and efficient work environment for all employees.Responsibilities include:clean designated production areasrefill supplies in designated production areasremoving dust and debris from machinerysweep production areas with push broom and shop vacuummopping and using floor scrubber throughout production areasreplacing filters throughout production facilityemptying trash receptacles and debris pansperform and document routine inspectionperform heavy cleaning tasks and special projectsstock and maintain supply roomscooperate with the rest of the stafffollow all health and safety regulationsclean all stools, stool seats, sinks, and fixturesclean mirrorsrestock toilet paper, soap, and paper towelsclean microwave and fridgemopclean tables and chairsvacuumensure outdoor areas of the facility remain clean and free of waste/trashmonitor and clean areas prone to condensationother duties as assignedRequirements:proven working experienceability to handle heavy equipment and machineryknowledge of cleaning chemicals and suppliesfamiliarity with Material Safety Data Sheetsintegrity and ability to work independentlyhigh school diploma or equivalentvalid driver's licensecomplete tasks at a fast pacefollow detailed instructionslift up to 75 pounds above the head on a repetitive basismake attendance a top priorityperform fine manipulation with hands and fingers for up to 12 consecutive hourspush, pull, squat, bend, stretch and crawl for up to 12 consecutive hourswalk and/or stand for up to 12 consecutive hourscomplete repetitive motions with hands, arms, feet, legs, shoulders and back for up to 12 consecutive hourstolerate high temperatures while working indoorsmandatory overtime/holdovers possible during heavy productionmandatory Saturdays possible during heavy productionteam player
