Faculty Internal Medicine Physician
Hartford HealthCare is seeking an Academic/Faculty Internal Medicine Physician for a Full-time teaching position with our Outpatient Internal Medicine Faculty Clinic in the southwestern Connecticut city of Bridgeport. This large, teaching, outpatient clinic adjacent to St. Vincent's Medical Center cares for adult patients and is affiliated with the Netter's School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University. Candidates interested in resident teaching are strongly preferred.

Netter, MD School of Medicine Southwest Family Health Center 762 Lindley Street, Bridgeport, CT 06607 Position Overview St. Vincent's Medical Center, in partnership with Southwest Family Health Center, is seeking a Primary Care Faculty Physician to join the Internal Medicine Residency Program clinic in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This is an outstanding opportunity for a physician interested in teaching, mentorship, and academic medicine while maintaining a strong clinical focus—without the responsibility of managing an independent patient panel. Faculty physicians oversee patient care in collaboration with internal medicine residents and play a key role in shaping the next generation of physicians within a supportive, academically rich environment.
Position Highlights 90% Clinical Precepting / 10% Administrative Approx. ½‑day per week protected admin time No independent patient panel - Clinical work is performed with residents predominantly Monday–Friday schedule, No weekends No call Academic faculty appointment at the Quinnipiac University Frank H. Netter School of Medicine Base Salary Range : $250,000 - $270,000 Sign-On Bonus, Relocation and Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible employer Clinical Setting Residency continuity clinic located at Southwest Community Health Center Mission‑driven, community‑based practice serving a diverse urban population Strong collaboration with residency leadership and interdisciplinary teams Benefits and Offerings: Guaranteed base, Sign-on/Stipend, Relocation Paid CME time off plus CME budget, reimbursed professional licenses and dues Paid time off plus all company holidays Retirement 401K with sizeable match Work authorization: H1B cap-exempt organization
Candidate Qualifications MD or DO Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine Unrestricted State of Connecticut medical license (or eligible) Passion for medical education, teaching, and mentorship Interest in academic medicine and community‑based care
