Families And Schools Together (Fast) Worker
Time: 7:30am - 4:00pm
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in social work or related field
Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, school personnel and community agencies
Reports To: Director Pupil Personnel Services
Job Goal:
Provide individual, group and family skills training; provide school related social service needs to students; coordinate activities with school administration to implement program and district policies and objectives; address prevention, intervention with at-risk students.
Performance Responsibilities:
Establish and lead group family skills trainings in evening family programs; provide instructional individual/group and family skills development during school day and possible summer programs Conduct home visits Meet with schools to plan and implement strategies to reduce delinquency Assess assistance needs, make referrals to community resources and maintain and manage a personal caseload; perform record-keeping duties and maintain accurate documentation of records Participate in public relation activities representing social services to community and other social agencies Establish and maintain good cross component relationships and develop supportive relationships with students and their families Meet regularly with Director of Pupil Personnel to assess needs and plan family intervention component operation and reporting system (accountability records) Perform related duties as assigned
Terms Of Employment:
Salary Other Professional Salary Schedule 8 hrs. per day 40 per week 189 days to 246 days 9 months to 12 months Board approved
