Job description
Henry Ford Atherton Road is looking for a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Family Medicine Physicianto join their well-established practice in Flint, Michigan.
nResponsibilities:
nnnEvaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills
n
nnCoordinates discharge planning with case management
n
nnRecommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients
n
nnAccepts patient referrals from other physicians
n
nnActs as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital
n
nnParticipates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested
n
nnProvides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner
n
nnParticipates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules
n
n nQualifications:
nnn Completion of an accredited Family Medicine program and board certified/eligible Family Medicine nn
nn Willingness to be flexible and work well as an integral member of the health care team nn
nn 1-2 years of recent and relevant experience as a primary care physician preferred, but willing to consider and help mentor a new Family Medicine graduate nn
