Job description

Position Summary:

At the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation, we are working together to achieve excellent health. Through Native Self-Determination and providing a Culturally Relevant Health System, we strive to be the healthiest people. Our outpatient family medicine team supports these initiatives by providing full spectrum family medicine in its purest form-caring for an entire village.

While our clinic system is based in Bethel, Alaska, most of our 30,000 patients live in smaller, outlying subsistence communities spread across an area the size of Oregon. Each physician panel (capped at 1,300 patients) is constructed around one or two of these villages. Physicians primarily see their patients in Bethel, but also travel to their continuity village(s) by small plane at least four times annually. If you are looking for a fascinating, impactful practice, we invite you to join our committed, mission-driven medical staff.

Our providers enjoy flexible administrative time, no afterhours or weekend call, opportunities for telehealth/remote work, generous CME, among many other benefits. We value quality of care above volume.

We'd love to connect with you before you apply! Please reach out to our Medical Director (Dr. Davis; ) or our Physician Recruiter (Cheyenne King-Joseph; contact info below) with any questions you may have.
