Job description
A health services system in Orange County, New York is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to provide inpatient medical care for adults in a structured psychiatric setting. T
About the Opportunity:
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm
Setting: Inpatient forensic adult mental health
Responsibilities: Provide inpatient family medicine care to adults in a forensic mental health setting
Perform physical examinations and assess patient medical needs
Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests as part of ongoing care
Prescribe medications and other appropriate treatments while adjusting care plans as needed
Document patient care accurately and collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team
Qualifications: Active New York State medical license
Board certification through the American Board of Medical Specialties in the appropriate specialty
Valid Federal Narcotics Number
Medicare and Medicaid enrollment in New York State
Desired Skills: Bilingual
Experience working with mental health populations
