nAvalon Medical Center is seeking a full time/part time/contract board certified/eligible family medicine physician to join our growing multi-specialty practice.
nEssential Duties and Responsibilities
nProviding general primary care services to patients.
nDiagnosing, treating and managing both acute and chronic conditions.
nPrescribing and refilling medications as appropriate.
nActively communicating with patients, families, other specialists and facility personnel (specialists, social workers, etc).
nOrdering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as imaging and lab work.
nDocumenting patients’ histories and treatments in EMR.
nMinimum Education:
nDegree of M.D. or D.O. - Family medicine or internal medicine
nBoard Certified or Board Eligible
nCurrent/active New York State Medical Practitioner License
nMinimum Experience:
nProfessional clinical experience in primary care practice in either family medicine or internal medicine required.
nRequired Certification/Registration:
nValid NYS Medical License
nBoard Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
nCurrent and ongoing BLS certification required and ACLS preferred
nNY State DEA Certification, valid and unrestricted required.
nCurrent NY State Opioid Prescriber Certificate required.
nCurrent Infectious disease certificate required.
nQualifications
nExperience in patient care within a medical office setting is preferred.
nStrong communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly to patients.
nAbility to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
