Our client, a leading healthcare provider dedicated to community health and comprehensive outpatient services, is hiring a Family Medicine Physician. This esteemed facility seeks a compassionate and experienced Family Medicine Physician to deliver high-quality primary care services in Brooklyn, NY. The role offers a unique opportunity to serve a diverse patient population while maintaining a balanced work schedule within a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a predominantly outpatient setting with an expected volume of approximately 18–20 patients daily during 8-hour clinic sessions.
Conduct comprehensive health assessments, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic conditions.
Participate in quality management and performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Mentor medical students informally, fostering professional development within the clinic.
Engage in administrative responsibilities related to patient care and clinic operations.
Collaborate with full onsite support staff, including LPNs, RNs, and MAs, to optimize patient flow and care delivery.
Adhere to scheduled working hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM), with occasional extended hours (12:00 PM–7:30 PM) once weekly; no weekend clinics are required.
Be available for rotating 24-hour on-call phone coverage, typically one week per month, involving phone-only consultations.
Requirements
MD or DO degree with valid licensing to practice in New York State.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a similar outpatient setting is preferred.
Fluency in Spanish highly preferred, given the predominantly Hispanic patient demographic.
Excellent communication skills, compassionate bedside manner, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
No visas are sponsored for this position; candidates must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. and accept new residency graduates.
