Job description
Family Medicine Physicians
Job Duties
Diagnose and provide nonsurgical treatment of diseases and injuries for children and adults. Develop a plan of care for each patient, including complete medical history, physician examination, diagnosis, appropriate treatment and/or referral. Confer with consulting physicians, nurses, patients and patients' family concerning treatment and care of patients. Refer those cases that require specialist services but maintain responsibility, assuring that continuity of care is provided.

Education Required: M.D. or D.O.
Other Requirements
License to practice medicine in Louisiana.
Completion of a family medicine residency.
