Job description
Since 2001, this prominent family foundation has given more than $1.5 billion to U.S. nonprofits that help people in need or tackle complex problems. Its reach spans children’s health, the arts, sustainability, and Lyme disease research, and an innovative health initiative. Lead the month-end and year-end close processes across multiple private foundations, including preparation and posting of accruals and other journal entries.
Oversee fundraising and donation receivables, including tracking, recording, and reconciling related activity to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Perform monthly financial reviews and reporting to validate the integrity of financial information and proper coding across entities.
Prepare and review account reconciliations on a recurring basis to ensure accuracy across multiple legal entities.
Support state and federal tax reporting requirements, partnering with external tax preparers as needed.
Coordinate and support the annual audit process, including preparation of schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and addressing follow-up items.
Assist with banking relationships and ongoing cash management activities.
