Job description
Geriatric Medicine opening - Muscatine, IA 60 miles from Cedar RapidsPosition DetailsFull-time, employed position
Established team of 3 physicians, 2 Advanced Practitioners, and 1 Advanced Practitioner serving the nursing home
Outpatient-focused practice in a well-established clinic
4.5-day work week
Average 15 Äì18 patients per day
No nights or weekends
1:6 nursing home call shared among 8 Äì9 providers
Dedicated roomer and shared phone nurse
Attached to hospital with on-site lab and X-ray
EPIC EMR across fully integrated clinic and hospital system
Dedicated administrative time with flexible scheduling
Clinical ScopeAdult primary care
POCT HgbA1c
INR clinic
Annual wellness visits
Physicals and vaccines
Procedures based on physician comfort level
Strong collaboration with experienced clinical and non-clinical staff
RequirementsMD or DO
Board Certified
Internal Medicine preferred
Geriatric experience preferred
Family Medicine with adult medicine experience considered
Unrestricted Iowa medical license (or ability to obtain)
Eligible to work in the United States
J-1 and H1B sponsorship available
Compensation DetailsInitial 2-year salary guarantee: approximately $250,000 Äì $365,000
100% of upside earning potential on innovative compensation model
Final offer based on experience, education, certifications, and internal equity
