Physician – Family Practice/OB (Minnesota)
Job Description:
A rural critical access hospital in Minnesota is seeking a Family Practice physician with obstetrics experience to join its clinic and delivery service. C-Section privileges are welcomed but not required — this role is built around full-spectrum FP/OB care.
What You'll Do:
Provide full-spectrum family medicine care across the lifespan
Deliver prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum obstetrical care
Manage labor and vaginal deliveries; perform C-sections if privileged
Collaborate with a supportive, established OB/FP team
Schedule:
7-day rotation blocks, one or more per month
Open to 14+ day blocks for physicians who prefer fewer transitions
Call: weekday/night call plus one weekend per 7-day stretch
115–120 births per year — steady, manageable volume
Team-based coverage: full-time FP/OB physicians, a general surgeon backing up C-sections, and additional OB/GYN support — you won't be the only line of coverage
Requirements:
MD or DO from an accredited program
Active or eligible medical licensure in Minnesota
Relevant clinical experience in family practice with obstetrics
