Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner - Locum Tenens Job in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner locum tenens opportunity in Canonsburg, PA, just outside Pittsburgh, in a supportive community setting with access to local shopping, dining, parks, and outdoor recreation. Job Details Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,840 - $4,120 Specialty: Family Medicine Role: Nurse Practitioner Employment Type: Locum tenens Setting: Outpatient correctional health Location: Canonsburg, Pennsylvania 15317 Region: Southwestern Pennsylvania / Greater Pittsburgh area Start Date: September 2026 Duration: Approximately 42 weeks Schedule: Evening coverage, including Thursday through Saturday with every other Wednesday coverage Shifts Per Week: Approximately 4 shifts per week Shift Duration: 10-hour evening shifts Hours: 40 hours per week Call: No call required Job Requirements Active Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner license required Current Nurse Practitioner certification required At least 1 year of clinical experience required Previous night shift experience strongly preferred Emergency medicine experience strongly preferred Ability to work a full-time schedule in a fast-paced clinical environment Comfortable caring for adult patients with occasional adolescent needs Strong assessment, triage, and independent decision-making skills Responsibilities Assess patients entering the facility during overnight hours Evaluate and treat acute and chronic medical concerns Support initiation of detox treatment in collaboration with nursing staff Address urgent and emergent medical issues as they arise Provide high-quality care to a primarily adult patient population Work independently with on-site nursing support and physician backup by phone Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently Help ensure continuity of care in a high-volume correctional health setting Apply now for this Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner locum tenens opportunity in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.
